ConVirt 2.0 Enterprise beta is underway

A quick update from the team – the ConVirt 2.0 Enterprise beta kicked off mid-last week. Yay!

The response to our call for registration has been utterly overwhelming and we are having to do all we can to keep our heads above water. We’ll keep you abreast of progress whenever we are able to get back up to periscope depth.

Meanwhile, lets get a few details out of the way. For those of you who registered for the program and haven’t yet received your download instructions, worry not. It is very likely that you have been placed in Phase-2 and our beta team will be getting in touch with you with more details shortly.

What is this ‘Phase-2′ business you ask? Well, with the sheer number of beta registration requests we received, there was no way we could have handled the load in one go while doing justice to our beta customers. So we decided to break the beta up into phases spanning a few weeks each. The first of these kicked off last week.

If you did make it into Phase-1 (i.e you received instructions on how/where to download the beta bits), and are having difficulty of any sort getting things up and running, email our beta team without delay.

Finally, with the new multi-phase beta structure in place, we are now able to continue taking new beta registrations. So, if you haven’t yet registered for the beta and wish to get in on all the excitement, head on over to our website and register.

Great turnout at the ConVirt 2.0 Webinar!

We just concluded our first Webinar showcasing ConVirt 2.0. What a great turnout! We’d like to thank those who registered and attended and hope you enjoyed the ConVirt 2.0 walk through as much as we did. Needless to say, we are super excited about the new UI, features and architecture!

With our first ever 2.0 Webinar now successfully behind us, we can’t wait to get to the next. Let us know which topics you’d like us to cover in upcoming sessions. The more we hear from you, the better we’d be able to tailor the Webinar series to your needs.

Finally, we’d like to apologize to those who couldn’t register on account of the session being full. Consider getting an early start on the next Webinar by pre-registering your interest on our Contact Us form.

Sneak Peak: The first ever ConVirt 2.0 screenshot!

Folks, we snuck into our development lab last night and made off with the first ever screen shot of ConVirt 2.0! Despite our development team’s protests that this is still not final and that many elements are subject to change, we took one look at the screenshot and knew we just had to share it with everyone!

So, without much further ado, here it is:

Redmonk screencasts show off ConVirt

RedmonkTV recently put up a fantastic two part screencast series where Redmonk’s Micheal Cote talks with Arsalan Farooq and Jaydeep Marfatia (our CEO and EVP of Engineering respectively) about ConVirt. This is followed by a great walkthrough of some key features of ConVirt by Jaydeep, with Micheal asking his usual incisive and insightful questions.

In Micheal’s own words:

Virtualization is magic of IT shops, but as with any technology it creates it’s own unique set of management challenges. That’s why it was fun to sit down with Convirture’s Jaydeep Marfatia and Arsalan Farooq for this two part screencast and see how ConVirt tackles virtualization management issues.

The first part of the screencast is here: Part 1
The second part is here: Part 2

Folks, this one is not to be missed! Enjoy.
