We just concluded our first Webinar showcasing ConVirt 2.0. What a great turnout! We’d like to thank those who registered and attended and hope you enjoyed the ConVirt 2.0 walk through as much as we did. Needless to say, we are super excited about the new UI, features and architecture!
With our first ever 2.0 Webinar now successfully behind us, we can’t wait to get to the next. Let us know which topics you’d like us to cover in upcoming sessions. The more we hear from you, the better we’d be able to tailor the Webinar series to your needs.
Finally, we’d like to apologize to those who couldn’t register on account of the session being full. Consider getting an early start on the next Webinar by pre-registering your interest on our Contact Us form.
Folks, we snuck into our development lab last night and made off with the first ever screen shot of ConVirt 2.0! Despite our development team’s protests that this is still not final and that many elements are subject to change, we took one look at the screenshot and knew we just had to share it with everyone!
So, without much further ado, here it is:
How cool is that? We are super excited! Make sure you stay tuned, more info is coming very soon.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 to our list of Certified Configurations for both Xen and KVM. Check out the full list at Certified Configurations

RedmonkTV recently put up a fantastic two part screencast series where Redmonk’s Micheal Cote talks with Arsalan Farooq and Jaydeep Marfatia (our CEO and EVP of Engineering respectively) about ConVirt. This is followed by a great walkthrough of some key features of ConVirt by Jaydeep, with Micheal asking his usual incisive and insightful questions.
In Micheal’s own words:
Virtualization is magic of IT shops, but as with any technology it creates it’s own unique set of management challenges. That’s why it was fun to sit down with Convirture’s Jaydeep Marfatia and Arsalan Farooq for this two part screencast and see how ConVirt tackles virtualization management issues.
The first part of the screencast is here: Part 1
The second part is here: Part 2
Folks, this one is not to be missed! Enjoy.

We are hard at work defining the next major iteration of ConVirt. There are several options on the table, including (but not limited to) our next generation architecture, a web-based interface, as well as many other cool new features. However, before we finalize anything, we’d like to have the community weigh in.
We’ve started a new topic in the user forums specifically for this. So, hop on over to this thread and tell us what is important to you, what you’d like to see in the next version of ConVirt, as well as anything else you’d like us to keep in mind as we shape the release.
Lets see those wish lists!
